WHAT IS COLON HYDROTHERAPY?

Colonic Hydrotherapy, also known as Colonic Irrigation or Colon Cleanse, is a completely natural treatment that frees the colon of old, impacted matter that can hinder peristalsis (a series of wave-like muscle contractions that moves food to different processing stations in the digestive tract).  It also benefits and stimulates the liver, helping with detoxification. Colon hydrotherapy is suited to people of different ages, cultures, and beliefs. We pride ourselves on treating each client as an individual and ensuring you are safe at all times. With this in mind, prior to booking your appointment please make sure that you have no contra-indications to the treatment.

A Colon Hydrotherapy session will normally be a 40–45-minute active time on our colonic table, the L.I.B.B.E. open system. When scheduling your visit, your reservation for the therapy room could be up to 75 minutes. The extra fifteen minutes allows restroom time following your colonic.

Every day, many thousands of people have the treatment, from celebrities and film stars to people of all ages, from all walks of life. The Colonic Hydrotherapy treatment is for people looking for relief from the symptoms of IBS and other gastro-intestinal problems such as bloating, constipation or diarrhea. It is also for those that simply want to maintain and improve their digestive health and enjoy the enhanced energy levels that often results from the treatment.

WHAT DOES COLONIC TREATMENT CONSIST OF?

The Journey towards Wellness Center uses both Open and Closed Gravity Systems. Both systems provide a natural and gentle method of treatment. Using only sterile, disposable single use tubing and equipment for each client, warm filtered water is gently introduced into the colon at a low safe pressure. Gentle manipulation and massage are used during the procedure to relieve bloating, excess gas and constipation and there is no need to be concerned about odor as the waste is dispersed directly from the tubing to a dedicated soil pipe.
Please note: Colonic Hydrotherapy is not in any way intended as a ‘cure’ or ‘medical’ treatment. It should not be seen as an alternative to seeing your GP if you have any health concerns. Neither is it intended to infer or imply symptoms of IBS or other bowel conditions will be solved.
The Journey Towards Wellness Center provides a safe, holistic Colonic Hydrotherapy experience where you will be treated with dignity and respect in a discrete, supportive, and relaxed environment. Colon Hydrotherapy using our FDA approved open LIBBE system will strengthen your colon muscle. It’s like going to the gym, but for your colon. Your licensed Colon Hydro-Therapist will also give you many helpful tips to assist you in attaining your goal of colon regularity. We are your partners in your good health.

Due to limited space and the personal nature of our therapies, children and/or infants are not permitted. Except for medical necessities, only the client and therapist are in the treatment room during the session.
